I thought I would share with you a "side" collection that I have relating to Biafra Over the years I have put together a reasonable collection of Biafra stamps (excluding postally used covers - too expensive for my budgets) and banknotes In addition to banknotes and stamps I also collect anything else relating to Biafra that I see and can afford Its a great extension to my collections and maintains a fascination I have had with Biafra since the late 60s when I saw photos of starving Biafran children Who else remembers those graphic images from the brutal bloody and short lived ware for independence between Biafra and Nigeria Over the last week I have managed to win auctions for the following: PinsMedalThis commemorates the 1st anniversary of independence (a very short lived one) BookI hope you enjoy these items and please feel free to add to them

Huckles those bring back memories. In the late 60's I was 10 or 11 and went to a Catholic school and I remember the support of the church for Biafara children and do remember similar buttons and materials. The Congo crisis was around the same time I think, in Katanga and the South Kasai region.
