During the "Fête du Timbre" show last week-end, Beryllium Guy bought a small stockbook full of a variety of stamps. After picking what he wanted from it, he is letting me have a go at it for trade material. Here are some maps-on-stamps I found in there that peaked my interest:  |

Various other maps-on-stamps that came in with the order from last week. The Alderney issues are from their first set of issues. The Sénégal issue is for the World Teachers' Day and complements the Books-on-Stamps post from yesterday.  |

Sometimes you get pleasant surprises. I was reorganizing my African covers, making use of the album I bought at the stamp show a couple of weeks back, and, when handling a 1995 Egyptian cover that my mother had gotten for me during a trip to Cairo, I discovered that there were a few mint stamps tucked in the envelope, which I had not noticed in those nearly 25 years! Among these were the following two issues for the 50 th anniversary of the Arab League and showing a map of the member countries:  |

Another of the 2019 "French Philatelic Heritage" sheets, featuring the Mermoz issue from 1937. Jean Mermoz had opened the commercial air route from Europe to South America and died en route to Brazil in 1936 when his plane got caught in a storm.  |
