14th Boy Scout World Jamboree Lillehammer, Norway, 1975Although my Scouting days are behind me now, I wanted to make a post regarding the World Jamboree in 1975, which I attended. It was a great experience, and the first time that I travelled outside of North America. It has been, even to this day, one of the highlight experiences of my life. Here are a few scenes from the Jamboree commemorated on stamps of Grenada, Scott #644-646. The complete set contains seven (7) stamps and a souvenir sheet.

They grow awfully BIG squirrels over there, don't they? I'd hate to run across one of those in the dark!

Peter, it's amazing that you are the only one who picked up on the unusually large size squirrels from that region. I will bet that they had a real job clearing them all out of there in time for the 1994 Winter Olympics....

US Airmail Postal Card Sc UXC7. Scout Jamboree from the wonderful state of Idaho (I'm a bit biased, being a resident). Forgive me for being a little off topic, this not being a stamp, but starting a "Scouts on Postal Cards" seems like overkill.

Your contribution fits perfectly to this topical thread, in my opinion.

The Bahrain set was shown earlier but here is the set from Great Britain (no overprint). Beauties, different designers for each stamp but very effective nonetheless. SG#557-559. Perf 15x14

s.s.belonging to the set above; Set and s.s. were issued perforated and imperforated. The similarity to the scout issue of Burundi, shown by hrdoktorx on Sept.25th,is obvious. Will be products of the same agency.
