As I prepare to release the 2013 supplement of the Tryzub Ukrainian Stamp Album, I started thinking about the 2014 release, and realized that I'm probably going to have to change the image in the upper right hand corner to remove Crimea from the map...
Who thought in 2014 political boundaries could change, or the specter of the Soviet Union would come back to haunt the world again.
Here's hoping there's a country in 2014 that will release stamps.
UKRPOSHTA is a private company. I'm curious to see how they deal with recent events in the stamps they release.
A joint issue between Ukraine, Russia and Belarus has already been cancelled by UKRPOSHTA, because philatelists in Ukraine wrote in and said they would not buy the stamp if it was released.
A few weeks ago I ordered all of Ukraine 2013 and those 2014 stamps then issued. Took much longer than I remember for them to get here but I've got 'em. Much to my surprise, several 2013 issues were sold out. Same thing happened to me with GB's Dr Who ... one issue was sold out so I've got the complete set minus one ... got to pull that trigger sooner! Still waiting for your whovian pages.
