For the awareness of all members, Admin (Jack) asked that I enter the forum in the annual APS Chapter web site awards program. The APS Chapter Activities Committee offers awards for entries in two annual competitions for newsletters and web sites. Here is some background on the web site program: - During the judging period from June 1 through July 15 a panel of 2 or 3 APS appointed judges will evaluate each site for its merits against a score sheet of optimum qualities. The panel will come to a consensus on awarding the site one of five award levels: Gold, Vermeil. Silver, Silver Bronze and Bronze.
- Each entry will stand on its own merits and an unlimited number of each award level will be available.
- Score sheet criteria include general sections on content, structure and navigation, visual design, function, and interactivity.
- Awards will be announced at Stampshow in August. A representative from each organization with an entry is encouraged to attend if possible.
- Entrants will receive a score sheet with comments on how the award was attained and suggestions on future improvements.
- Entrants will also receive an electronic awards badge designating the award level received and competition year. Badges may be displayed perpetually on the entered web site’s home page when received.
- Past competition results can be viewed here.

Wow! I wonder where we'll place? Just because we're so new in the game yet. We do have quite a few seriously knowledgeable members though and they're tough to find! Thank you for the heads up!

The results are in and TSF was awarded Vermeil in the third annual competion. We'll be receiving an award certificate and also an electronic badge that can be displayed on the site. Thee will be an APS press release and at some point I'll also receive the detailed critique sheet from the judges. I think Vermeil is quite an achievement for our being in existence only 1 year and for having to work within the confines of the ProBoards software. Thanks to Jack for getting us started and to all of you who are contributing to the site. Following is the listing of the 2014 awards and their recipients:  |

Okay I'm impressed while I've always been informal type,I can see that structure has it's place.As I have said many times THANK YOU ALL for being more than screen names but honest down to earth friends.Is there any doubt that we are truly a family??

What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.

Our forum has been entered in the 2015 APS Web Site Competition. Judging will begin in early June and continue through mid-July. The awards will be announced during Stampshow in August (Grand Rapids, Michigan; August 20-23). Rules and score sheets remain the same as last year's. |

We made a few small changes since we received the results of last years audit.
A note to whom ever does the audit, please note that this is a forum, lots of information within this site, plus many great members that will jump to the keyboards to help out with answers. Please visit a few times during your audit it is hard to see the community that we have with a single visit. Maybe ask a question or two.
We are an alternative club for those that cant be members of a brick and mortar club. Many members are in remote isolated part of the world but stop in for a chat with fellow collectors. Nothing out of the norm for a chap in the middle east and a fellow in the Catskill mountains getting together and trading knowledge. We even get the odd member sneaking off to the internet café while on family holidays to stop it for a quick read.
We have a great tradition of giving here at TSF many members have put up wonderful items in free giveaways. Made donations to members charities and so much more. To judge this site it takes a little time but will be well worth it.
