Yesterday I received another package from rod222 that was full of stamps that were missing from my growing worldwide collection -- his generosity is very much appreciated! Among them were two 55c stamps from a set of 7 issued by Australia on September 8, 2008; I believe they are SG3054 and SG3055, respectively. I initially thought that they are SG3054 and SG3055, respectively; however, after reading the rod222 posts, I'm not sure what they are. The perf measurement is 12.75 on both stamps. My worldwide Scott catalogs are the 2009 CD version and I have been unable to locate Scott numbers for these stamps -- I'd be grateful if anyone can provide those numbers. If you have stamps from the set, please share them here.

Hi Steve, the 2009 Catalogue does not reach this far. You shall need someone with a later catalogue. There is, I think 14 in the set, perhaps 21, you need to look at the corner perfs, to see which printing company issued. You can see the corners in my digital collection, look at Luna Park. I think there are two types of Die Cut perf, not sure if there are normal perforated issues.

(The perfs match what you have. But if they are coil stamps wouldn't they have two straight edges?) Booklet Stamps, Serpentine Die Cut 11 1/4. South Bank, SC# 2947. The Rocks, SC# 2948.

Good question Jen.
The stamps are a continual roll of paper, adhered to a non adhesive backing, The die punches the faux perforations and the backgound selvedge is removed. Leaving a strip/roll of non stick paper, with the stamps adhered, so, no straight edges apply.
In the booklet form, the background selvedge remains, as part of the stamp design.
