A recent sheet issue from 2014 recalled the "Entraide Francaise" issue and other initial Wallis and Futuna stamps after it obtained "Overseas Territory" status of its own:

A series of local kingdom flags was issued twice. First issue in 1997 (YT #498-500): And then again in 2006, in a smaller format as self-adhesive booklet stamps (YT #652, 654, and 657):

First of all, many thanks to Xavier ( hrdoktorx ) and René ( renden ) for reviving this thread with the recent fine contributions. Of course, I especially like the classic material! And thinking about Frog's ( firstfrog2013 ) comment from some time ago that the best posts are the ones which highlight the stamps, here goes: In going back to the start of this thread, I was surprised to find that the original set for W&F was never posted. I have always had a few of these, but was able to acquire a complete set (of sorts) from the dealer here in Aix some months ago. This is one of those sets which, at least in the Scott catalogues, was expanded to include stamps issued at later times. Below are the original 17 stamps issued in 1920. The set was later expanded to 28 stamps to include issues of the same designs which were added in 1922, 1925, 1927, and 1928. Wallis & Futuna Islands, Scott #1-4, 6, 9-11, 13, 17-20, 24-25, 27-28, stamps of New Caledonia overprinted in black (15 stamps) and red (2 stamps)
