A new series of stamps were introduced in 1913 and continued until 1939,with many reissues, new values, new colours and surcharges. There is a total of 56 stamps, including a Red Cross issue,I have found numerous shades which don,t appear to be mentioned in Gibbons or Dallay catalogues. Gibbons lists this as Climbing Palm tree series.

I second blaamand's remark about those cancels. I especially like the collection and inclusion of the pairs. They give variety to the page.

Yvert 120-141 The last long series of stamps, issued in 1941 and featuring a canoist,a lakeside village,Lake Nokoue and a native woman. They were not in use for very long as French West Africa stamps were used from 1944.Gibbons prices a used set at almost 4 times the price of a mint set.

I finally managed to complete this series,Yvert 61 -78 with new colours and surcharges. YT 69 was the last one to acquire. Not a high catalogue value but it took over a year to find a used copy.

The remaining issues ,YT79-98,issued fom 1926 to 1939 with surcharges and new colours. No high catalogue value but in common with a lot of these long sets, some stamps are more difficult to find.

French Dahomey 1899-1944, the Collection
French Dahomey was a French colony and part of French West Africa from 1894 to 1958. After World War II, by the establishment of the French Fourth Republic in 1947, Dahomey became part of the French Union with an increased autonomy. On 11 December 1958, the French Fifth Republic was established and the French Union became the French Community. The colony became the self-governing Republic of Dahomey within the Community, and two years later on 1 August 1960, it gained full independence (and in 1975 changed its name to Benin).
"From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia"
The following pages show the complete set of stamps issued while Dahomey was a French Colony. Not included are Yvert # 41 and any of the inverted or missing surcharge types.
The stamps shown are mostly Mint Never Hinged with some Hinged and used where MNH examples weren't available. Finding examples with pristine gum wasn't always possible with these issues due to the harsh tropical conditions of temperature and moisture. All of these examples have intact gum but there is quite a range of discoloration in gum tones running from off-white to light brown.
The "Man Climbing a Palm Tree" series is noteworthy for including over 60 stamps using the same under-lying design. If any other countries have ever issued a longer set, I'm unaware of it (I start to think of German Hitler heads...).
A few comments about the album pages. I purchased a set of pages for several of the French African Colonies from STAMPEXTRAS07 (Portugal) on eBay. They come pre-printed and un-punched on heavy glossy stock. You have a choice of either black framed color images of the stamps or a blank frame. Unfortunately, I chose the style with the images printed in color. A drawback I found was the pages looking complete even if there are missing stamps. In retrospect, I would order blank frames in the future.
The handwork involved in mounting the stamps on these pages is huge, at least when I do it my way, cutting Showgard strips and trying my level best to get them straight. After awhile, I started asking myself if the cost of the mounts was exceeding the cost of the stamps (LOL)...
Since purchasing these pages, I've discovered Palo Country/Colony Albums. They offer Hinge-less albums for all of the British and French colonies. I recently purchased pages for Nyasaland, Basutoland, Bechuanaland Protectorate, Northern Rhodesia and the Falkland Dependencies. I really like them so far. I hope to post some of them in the near future.

Congratulations REL1948 for your completion.Jeff Thank you so much Jeff, I really appreciate that. I have quite a bit of unmounted material that lately, I've been sorting and finally mounting. I'm close to completing French Algeria, Cameroun, French Middle Congo, Bechuanaland Protectorate, Northern Rhodesia, Senegal and Nyasaland. I didn't realize until a couple months ago what I actually had on hand (decades of stuff). After sorting and seeing where the holes were, I began serious buying on several different sites which is allowing me to complete the mentioned countries so far.
I'll post them as I complete them.

A piece I could not resist, a se-tenant pair of the "05" red overprint on the 4c Navigation and Commerce allegory issue in 1912, with the stamp of the left having the narrow spacing between the two digits, and the stamp on the right having the wider spacing (YT #34 and 34a):
