Yet another addition to the collection. I should have this long awaited exhibit ready in a couple of weeks. (phew!) This 1916 cover was posted in St. Catharines Ont. (my hometown) using an MR3 carmine 1T¢ stamp. The advertising part appears on the back of the cover. St. Catharines, back in the day, was noted for 'it's waters'. The 'Welland' noted on the cover eventually became known as the Welland House Hotel, known more in my day for it's strippers, rather than its waters. Ahhh, progress!
