Hello, my name is Adam and I'm from Poland. A few years ago, out of curiosity, and with free means, I took the opportunity and acquired a large collection of stamp albums. I'm currently trying to personally identify them and learn their history, however, not being a specialist in philately and not having one among friends and family, I have a big problem. This has been quite a long time, but I did not give up and I'm still looking for information inter alia on philatelic forums. On the basis of current knowledge, it seems to me that I have in my collection some really interesting items. I would be very grateful for the help of experienced philatelists in identifying my collection at times. I must admit that I'm willing to sell interesting, unique or valuable stamps, if I can just find them in my albums. Greetings to all members!

Welcome Adam and welcome to stamp collecting in general! Stick with us and we'll help you out the best we can! It's most helpful if you can post a scan or a high quality picture of the stamp or stamps you're having difficulty with. There are a lot of members here who are very good at identifying almost anything from almost anywhere so you're in good company here my friend! What sort of reference material do you currently have or using? Catalogs, books, etc...etc... Looking forward to seeing your collection! Cheers friend! -Jeff

Welcome to our forum, greenbottle!
As Jeff said, there are quite a few knowledgeable members who would be more than happy to help you with items that you are having difficulty identifying.
I'm curious about your screen name...are you also a collector of bottles and glass?

@i.L.S. Thanks a lot . I don't know English well enough to read foreign publications, so I focus on Polish books. Especially that scientific positions are difficult to translate, even for my own needs. In fact, I'm using the Google Translate a lot, even now . I learned the basics from the first volume of the Fishers "Catalogue of Polish Postal Marks". Most of the stamps I bought in Germany and I'm trying to identify them using Michels Deutschland stamps catalog. I also use colnect.com. I will appreciate if you recommend me some other websites that are helpful to you. tomiseksjNo, it's only an accident. I had no idea for my login, so I looked at my desk and it was the first thing I noticed . firstfrog2013I would like to share with you some items soon. Some are certified, so there are definietly original. Others, I suspect, may be, but I have to verify it. Unfortunately, for now I do not have pictures in a very good quality. For now I have most German stamps from a wide time interval. rod222Thank you for the link. I have also some Polish stamps from the German occupation time. Thanks a lot, I was not expecting such a nice welcome!

I will appreciate if you recommend me some other websites that are helpful to you. A member of this forum, PostmasterGS, has an excellent website for German stamps up to 1945. You can find it at www.germanstamps.net. There is also a good website for Polish stamps that some of us look at, Stamp Encyclopaedia Poland. Ryan

tomiseksjI believe it was Lech . How do you know Polish beers? I've never had a Polish beer (but I'm a big fan of Polish sausage!). I just assumed your namesake was a beer bottle and did some Googling to determine which Polish beers came in green bottles.
