If you would like to take part in the Secret Santa please reply to this post. Once all the names are gathered we will do a draw and you will be sent the address of the member you are paired with. lets keep it within budget say a gift of $5-10US dollars. Just so everyone will feel comfortable sending gifts please make sure you have 25 posts. If you don't have the 25 posts you have plenty of time to take part in the forum. As we all love looking at stamps it could be a simple post of some images of your stamps or a quick story of how you got into the hobby. Cut off will be 30th November. Secret Santa list canadianphilatelist*** Irishjack+++ gillesletimbre *** ChickasawStampMan philatelia*** BC ILS codeye*** jamesw *** frog *** Gifts that have arrived. I will update as I receive news. How about philatelic socks, Philatelia? Check what Santa is holding. Nothing wrong with the humble sock. Last year I sought out especially, a pair of hugely thick winter trekking socks, I wear them around the pad as shoes. If your feet are warm, the body is warm I find. (Not a fashion statement though) I also have a electric heated foot rug under the desk, for those 0 degree mornings.

I had to purchase special socks for firefighting.Fireboots are wool lined and pull normal socks down around your heel.Tough keeping your head in the game when your walking on a ball of sock. The only draw back was in the hurry to respond to call who has time to change socks.

I live opposite our Country Fire Station, the boys do an absolute fabulous job, both Fire and Accidents. The Siren goes off, and cars begin pulling up within seconds / minutes, it's amazing to experience.

The other day I was walking the dog along Main Street. A bunch of cars, trucks came speeding along honking horns some had closing lights They all have fireman lience plates. We have a volunteer fire department Wonderful people that put their life on the line without pay. There is a waiting list to join. Go to love living in rural canada. Frog I have a pair of boots similar to fire and I just don't wear socks with the and my feet stay warm.

rod222 so are you entering secret santa? you might end up with another pair of socks Hmmm not a big fan of the SS, mainly due to my unreliability around Xmas time, Admin, never sure where I'll be, don't want to let anybody down. (Not even sure how it works) I rather give away freebies.

Ok, I have done the random name draw. How its going to work is like this. I made 3 columns and put the each persons name in each column then randomised it, the person you are sending to will not be the person you receive from, its a total mishmash
I will be messaging the address of your secret Santa in a couple of hours.

Ok I just message everyone with the address to whom they are to send their gift to. Please take into account that your secret Santa may be from another country and you may have to wait a bit longer then others to receive your gift. Once you receive please post to this thread that you received your gift, this way the secret Santa will know that you received it If you like you can post a pic or two of your gift.
