It's been a while since I've fired up the old wood-burning scanner I have that only runs on an old computer with an old operating system. Here's one of my finds in my most recent digging through my piles of stuff - a New Year's cinderella from Denmark in support of the National Arthritis Society. Ryan

World Boy's Day, 1947. I have seen sets of 5 offered for both 1946 & 1948. I don't know how popular a concept this was - not too many Google hits when searching! Ryan

Thanks jay see. I was going by Google translate which said that the text was Norwegian. Goes to show ya, you can't alway believe the inter-web. There's nothing on the back of mine, including gum. My guess is the slogan printed on the back of those ebay labels was printed over top the gum, so when it was used, the words came off. Appreciate the correction. edit- humbled, , I have added this label to the Danish thread. Now perhaps, you good folks can add some real Norwegian cindys to this one. I'll look and see what I've got.

Identified on ebay as 1911 Danish Work Ennobles Association Charity Stamp.
Erroneously identified (by me) as Norwegian, on another thread. Thanks to jaysee for setting me straight.

As it turns out Rod, I'm not sure of anything anymore!
The ebay listing that jaysee pointed me to showed an example of my cindy with full gum and the words 'køb dansk arbejde' printed on the back. My buddies at google translate tell me that means 'buy Danish work' So unless the Norwegians are assisting the Danes with their economy, I too am leaning towards Danish. Of course, if the Swedes and Fins want to chime in and give their two kroner worth, I'm open to listen.

Well here's the latest twist on this one. I sent an image of this stamp to a Danish friend of mine, and if you don't believe me, her name is INGER! She says it's definitely Norwegian.
And I quote..."It's a Norwegian stamp the top wording is the same in both languages and means farmers association the bottom is definitely Norwegian but it means work age"
So there you go. Aways go to an expert.

As mentioned on the Danish thread, the stamp posted above IS Norwegian. Quoth my Danish friend Inger, "It's a Norwegian stamp the top wording is the same in both languages and means farmers association the bottom is definitely Norwegian but it means work age"
So we're back in this neighbourhood. I am un-humbled.

I agree with both of the above jaysee. You've kept us on our toes. Just proves the value of research. From what I saw in your response to my initial post, I thought you were bang on. This is how we learn!

This is definitely a Danish issue. Landsforeningen Arbejde Adler is a religiously rooted association - founded in 1911 by then-pastor at Diakonissestiftelsen (Deaconess) Nicolai Dalhoff. The association was founded to address the problem of homeless and unemployed men in Denmark, which at that time was estimated to number about 10,000. The organization, which is still active today, operates under the motto: "dignity, self-respect and charity". The National Association and its institutions are working to help people who find themselves in a difficult life situation due to homelessness, substance abuse or mental illness. This stamp was issued to provide publicity for the organization and sold to raise funds. The stamp is known in 4 different colors - deep blue, light blue, black, and green. All four are known perforated, and the green is also known imperforate. The first one, in deep blue, has an imprint on the back "Kob Dansk Arbejde!" which translates to "Buy Danish Goods!". The backprint is on the paper, under the gum - so it remains even if the gum is soaked off. They are listed in the Hartvigsen "Illustreret Katalog 1885-1920 Over Jule-, Velgørenheds- og Foreningsmærker samt Udstillings- og Lejlighedsmærker fra Danmark, Island, Dansk Vestindien, Sønderjylland, Norge, Sverige og Finland". This translates to "Illustrated Catalog 1885-1920 of Christmas-, Charity- and Fundraising Stamps, including Exhibition and Privately Issued Poster Stamps from Denmark, Iceland, Danish West Indies, South Jutland, Norway, Sweden and Finland."

I"ll file this one here, because Nordisk samarbejde seems to translate best in Danish to Nordic Cooperation

Another Bee themed Cinderella, this time from Denmark and depicting a beehive. The Independent Order of Oddfellows is an international fraternal order founded in Maryland, USA by Thomas Wildey in 1819 and based on the Order of Oddfellows in England. Originally for men only, the Rebekah Lodges were founded for wives and daughters. Although today, women are allowed to join the IOOF but Rebekah Lodges still exist. This stamp was issued for the Rebekah Lodges Recreations Fund. Date unknown but looks early.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Postings in regards Faroe Island and Denmark sent me to my world wide album to see if I may have had any of the early overprints mixed in with my Denmark stamps. No luck on that front but I did come across this simple but handsome Cinderella from I assume was World War II. I see one like it on eBay but no information about it’s background. I did find that there was a newspaper from the era called The Free Danes.
