I recently purchased a US State Revenue Album on CD from an eBay seller which is supposed to cover all the states. I have not yet received it but am making an early post to inquire if any members are aware/familiar with it. Seller is rccar-guy and the link is www.ebay.com/itm/State-Revenue-stamps-Album-Pages-on-1-DVD-AL-WY-plus-DC-Total-of-51/383677632069?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649It listed with an opening bid of $4.99 or best offer. I offered $10 and "won" it. I hope it is an affordable alternate to the full-tilt State Revenue publication for my beginner needs. I'm simply looking for an overview of the state revenue world. Input is welcome, good or bad EDIT: I am currently looking toward a type collection, that is one value from issues of multiple values, per state.

JeffS let us know what you thing once it arrives. When I initially got back into stamping, my goal was US and maybe UN.... that has moved across the pond to western Europe and the US is a distant6 thought, an UN even more so, but I do like BoB and have thought that may be the US I ultimately collect... not sure why, but I have always been attracted to the revenue/tax stamps, including now of the countries I do focus on.... something about them, I can't tell anyone the appeal, I just like them!

This CD is actually for you to print your own pages with all the state revenues. There are pages for every state, and every stamp. But, there are no prices, if you wanted that.
Have a great day.
Mike.

Just recently started looking at state revenues. Purchased a couple recently was gifted a Colorado and Some Ohio's. I do find them interesting. Good Morning. Don't waste your money on the Ohio halves, only buy stamps with both parts. The halves are worthless unless rare. If you would like some Ohio Sales Tax Stamps, send me your address, and I will send you a packet of them for free. I have plenty, maybe 40-50,000 or so. LOL.
Have a great day.
Mike.

There were a couple links to The State Revenue Catalog earlier in this thread. They lead to the State Revenue Society website but I do not see how to get the The State Revenue Catalog anywhere on the website. Anyone know how to get the catalog? Digital or published book? Do I need to join the State Revenue Society to be able to purchase the catalog? I have used google to search for it, most promising searches end up at the State Revenue Society. Amazon does not have the book, at least that I can find.
I have several state Beer Revenue Stamps and have been trying to find reference material, this catalog seems like the most promising option.
Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

mberry , I believe that the Society sold its last copy of the 2013 edition of the catalog some time ago and the long-promised replacement is still in work. It seems that the drafts referred to in earlier posts have been removed from the SRS site. If I had a copy of the catalog I'd offer to help but I've been waiting several years now for the replacement. AbeBooks has a copy listed for $85 and Richard Friedberg's site indicates that he has limited copies available for $87.

The State Revenue Catalog arrived a few days ago and I have been able to identify some of my State Beer stamps. Also confirmed that some of the State Beer stamps i aquired at stamp shows were incorrectly identified. I suspected this was the case because I had 2 different stamps with the same number (from the same state).
Still more work to do but this catalog is handy to have!

Attention collectors of U.S. State revenuesThe State Revenue Society has granted access on its website to its newsletter, originally the Newsletter (now State Revenue News) beginning with Whole Number 1 from August 1959. The SRS had been selling DVDs of back issues but those have sold out. To further the Society's educational mission, making the researching of state revenues easier, its Board decided to make back issues available to anyone who wants them, except for the previous year's issues. Those will only be available to SRS members. The back issues are available as PDFs and may be accessed at staterevenue.org/srn/back-issues
