Below is a list of Canadian Stamps related to World War I, the Great War, The War to End All Wars. The list is from a recent issue of Canadian Stamp News and I thought it might be good to record it here for posterity.
- War Tax Stamps (1915-1916)
- War Memorial, Ottawa (1939)
- Vimy Memorial (1968)
- John McCrae In Flanders Fields (1968)
- Royal Military College (1976)
- Princess Patricia Light Infantry (1994)
- Royal 22nd Regiment (1994)
- Billy Bishop (1994)
- Army Cadets (2004)
- Victoria Cross (2004)
- Candian War Museum (2005)
- Lest We Forget (2009)
- HMCS Niobe (2010)
- Finally, the 2014 Commemorative.
Should I ask others to post images of the list?

War tax series coming up on collection thread if I remember I'll post additional scans here. The actual revenue series(FX) will not appear for awhile they are still residing in a separate album. One day I hope to get EVERYTHING in order of release. It will be another major undertaking for sure but I feel that's the way it should be presented. The 1868 series of bill stamps should be in large queen era the war tax in the admiral era etc.It will mean separating some of the law stamps, excise taxes, postal scripts, like I said major undertaking.

Canada's first airmail, a semi-official. Approved by postal authorities and flown by RAF instructor pilots. The theme is certainly warlike, although the plane looks like a Wright Flyer. According to a documentary I saw, they actually flew underneath the Zepps and fired straight up into their bellies. The artist who designed this stamp probably wasn't aware of that.

Thanks for the plug Rod. It is an area near and dear. I'll post an image of the more obscure piece from the exhibit, the KGV head sideways wine strips. Not postal, but the tax helped pay the war effort..

Wow Ed! Where did you find that? envious Theron. I just checked my database. Unfortunately, I failed to enter much information for this stamp.
It probably came from a Canadian auction, or maybe a Canadian seller on eBay. Canada has a lot of good auctions. It wasn't cheap, although I didn't enter that information either.
The stamp I posted is Scott CLP1. I also have CLP2 as both a single and a tête-bêche pair. CLP2 is similar to CLP1, but has the denomination (25¢) in the lower corners. Both stamps are online at classicairmailcollection.com.

I must say, nice precancels there froggie. USPC Co is a playing card company I believe. I have a US playing card revenue with the same company initials printed on it (though not exactly the same as yours). I just happen to receive this in the post today. A recent ebay win, this MR2C (Unitrade) or FWT2 (van Dam), will go onto an appendix page at the back of the War Tax exhibit.

A very hard to find plate block. Most were re-called do to poor print quality. Pricy to find and getting scarce. Another very interesting post, Frog, thank you for sharing! By the way, I noticed that this example has a first-day-of-issue cancellation on it, so I assume that it came off an FDC. Not sure if that makes a difference in any way, but just thought I would point that out.... Edit: I also noticed that the "3" in "38" in the top right stamp seems a bit shorter near the top of the number than on the other three stamps in the block. I wonder if this is a printing error or just an artifact in the scan.
