Earlier today I noticed pop ups on the forum, I have removed them, I have paid for the next 50,000 page views to be ad free.
I have also increased the forum storage, you will now be able to upload 6 images using the add attachment. The limited will be 1mb for the total of the attachments.

Thanks Jack! Those ads were really annoying after almost two weeks of solitude and they made pages load even more slowly on my system. Did you add the Related Topics and Stories feature? I like the reference to other board topics but am not a fan of the "Stories from around the web" -- I have enough digital distractions and don't see myself in the market for a pink wedding dress any time soon.

What pop-ups? I have not seen any. I use Firefox, pop-ups blocked by default.

View AttachmentNo I did not add it. That has to go. I will look into it, I find that pink dress does nothing for me.

It appeared at about the same time as the banner ads so I imagine that it provides an additional revenue stream for proboards. BC, they weren't pop-ups but rather were banner ads that displayed at the top and bottom of each page. Jack acted quickly so they weren't up too long. Here is an example of what you missed.

I will sort out those other ad's after the weekend. Admin off duty till Monday. Its the weekend and I off to search auctions for treasure. Those banner ad's are something else. I could not handle another minute of them polluting this forum.

I guess I missed them. I don't mind the odd ad - as long as they are stamp related

I'll be surprised if pb lets us get away longterm with a no-ad experience (without shelling out quite a few stotinki).
As long as we can keep the most-annoying ones at bay, the occasional ad is understandable.

CJD: I had to Google stotinki -- what a great word! Now I've just got a find a way to incorporate it into some normal conversation over the next couple of days!
2 thumbs up!
