I am curious as how I may ID this mutilated stationery, are there Catalogues for Canadian Postcards? Postmarked PEI Prince Edward Island, Wood Island ? Wood Islands? RR#1 (Rural Route #1) Belle River Postcode C0A2J0 The cover of the Postcard is identical with the 8c Stamp (hence I presume not a Maxicard)

If I'm reading my relatively new (to me) Unitrade catalog correctly, the card is one of a set of 90 multicolored, matching views and stamp designs from the pictorial issue of 1972 (UX109B).
Per Unitrade, the text is bilingual and cards are numbered in units of 5, grouped by province (all 5 cards in a unit have the same number).
Cards in the three Ontario series are tagged; the rest are untagged.
Unitrade refers to Webb's Postal Stationery Catalogue for details on all 115 cards included in UX109A, B and C (issued 1971-1974).

I presume this to be a Canada Post Ephemera item, and not a Cinderella. One colours in the Postcard, and mail it with the free formed die cut stamp. Sc# 1960

Here is the rest of the card Rod. I collect them. Used entires are quite rare. Steve is correct about the Unitrade listings. For PEI, there are 5 different views. Some of the other provinces have 10 or 15 different views. Wood Islands is a farming community in south west Prince Edward Island. It is named after some small off-shore islands.

Postcards were a part of the souvenir packs for Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee issued during her 60th year in 2012. Here are 5 of the six. I don't know what happened to number 5. I'd have to tear open a pack to get at it. But I don't want to do that, at least not now. Each postcard highlighted stamps issued from that decade, and one of them was used for the stamp on the backside of the postcard. 2513 Issued January 16, 2012 2514 Issued February 6, 2012 2515 Issued March 6, 2012 2516 Issued April 6, 2012 2518 Issued June 1, 2012

Pete.....you are a "Canada postcards collector", as I can see - I do have some from my late dad but no recent ones - how many do you have ? René

renden... not many. They were a part of the souvenir packs, otherwise I doubt I would have bought them. Most postcards I bought are now long gone. Just a few remain, prior to this set. My Centennial postal stationery is still in a pile, neglected after all these years.

Here are a few more of the earlier Canadian Post Cards printed by the British American Bank Note Co. Montreal & Ottawa,
UX1 Postal Card
UX4a Postal Card
UX4d Postal Card
The cards themselves are on heavy stock paper, almost cardboard and are quite the treat of the engraver's eye...

Here is another one,
UX15
In this later version of a post card, I like the inclusion of the Royal Coat of Arms of Canada with its lion and unicorn displayed quite prominately front & centre...
Happy collecting!

Last one and this example being a one from the 1897 - 1898 Queen Victoria Maple Leaf issue,
UX19
These two form a joined set, but it is unclear how they would work together...
Happy collecting!

Don't now if i posted these..Kinda neat. First is a WW1 post card of the ship that brought Canadian soldiers home after WW1. What is so unique about this card, it was created entirely with silk as the close ups show.
Second is another WW1 post card..Same ship. Robert

Postcard of interest Sent from my oldest sister to her Father (late) on the day of ISSUE 6 VII 1983 of the stamp and from my home town Edmundston (N.B.) The stamp, Unitrade Canada Spec cat # 993, was drawn by a Edmundston Scout and chosen by Canada Post (with the help of my late dad) to mark the 15th World Scout Jamboree, in Alberta, Canada 4-14 July 1983. Quite a souvenir indeed
