If I'm interpreting the note in the Scott catalog correctly, the 5c stamp (Scott 453) was also issued inscribed 1984, and the two Wmk. 384 varieties (perf. 13.5x13 (453a) and perf. 14 (453b)) were issued in April and June 1986, respectively.
Were the two 5c varieties issued without the year inscription?

Hi Steve, that does take some reading, and re-reading I'd say Yes, and yes. I have only the singleton, so cannot refer to my own stock. Will keep a lookout at auctions, Cayman has low demand in my neck of the woods.

The Cayman Thrush : Turdus ravidus (no off colour comments required) Set of 15, comes valued in Sterling, Decimal, and overprints, making 45 stamps in all. ExtinctionCharles B. Cory described them as common in 1886 but shortly after its discovery it became a favorite object for bird collectors. Twenty-one specimens were collected on four occasions in total. The first four specimens were taken in August 1886. Another three were killed in 1892 and one female was obtained in 1896. Finally thirteen specimens were shot between April and July 1916 by bird collector W. W. Brown, Jr. Suddenly this bird was vanished and several surveys to find this species again have failed until zoologist C. Bernard Lewis observed one individual north of East End in the eastern of Grand Cayman in the summer of 1938. This was the last reliable report of a living Grand Cayman Thrush. Causes of its extinction were most likely deforestation and the destroying of its habitat by hurricanes between 1932 and 1944. Three wise men: Adoration of the Magi. I know that Plateflaw character quite well. He can be a bit of a show-off with some of his finds though.

1938-48 Cayman Islands 2½d Bright Blue, Rembro (Schooner) Block of 4 with Waterloo & Sons, Ltd, London Imprint. Roos I am always drawn to George's right eye, beautifully engraved on this issue, but on lots of others, Australia in particular, the engravers botched it, and it comes in a variety of splodges.

Purchased from an auction lot, rather cheaply, just a few dollars. They scan very lightly, I am presuming, with evidence of grey cancel ink, they have been tortured in hot water, before pressing, or from a window display. When, in an auction description, you read "Fresh", this describes the pigment to be vibrant, as printed.

1969 Madonna and Child. Vivarini. Antonio Vivarini (Antonio of Murano) (ca. 1440 – 1480) was an Italian painter of the early Renaissance-late Gothic period, who worked mostly in the Republic of Venice. He is probably the earliest of a family of painters including sibling his younger brother Bartolomeo and Antonio's son Alvise Vivarini.

I have over 160 web pages with more than 3,000 images showing other British Colony Sets. Here is a link to the index page showing all the currently listed sets and how to identify them.
