Lucky you only have half a pane...otherwise you'd have a real storage nightmare on your hands.
I passed on a handful of complete sheets of Switzerland full of se-tenant (and maybe tete-beche?) stamps because of the size...whatever would I do with them? I occasionally regret it, but I get over it.

I occasionally regret it, but I get over it. Ain't that the truth! I cannot bear to separate stamps, so breaking them down is not an option. I'd only take any full sheets prior to 1865

I found a contact for Tenly, so lets see if she replies and if the ice skater in my postcard is actually her. If its her maybe I can get her to sign it Now - who are those 2 guys in the bob-sleigh?

I never cared about San Marino stamps. But today I started to put them in a stocbook. Have to go trough a lot of stockbooks, boxes and other stuff to find it all. I don't think there is enogh to make it worth printing an album yet.

Overprinted in Black: “28 LVGLIO 1943 1642 F. R.” and bars cancelling commemorative inscription.
This series was prepared for the 20th anniversary of fascism, but as Mussolini was overthrown July 25,1943, it was overprinted for the downfall of fascism .
1943,Aug.27 – Sc # 215-216-217 Out of set
Edit : Anyone knows what the overprint stands for ??

This San Marino "socked-on-the-nose" stamp literally fell out of the pages of a recently-received stamp auction catalogue. I had to pinch myself as this is not how I usually get new stamps! Early Italian and San Marino issues tend to run way off center; this one has nice margins on three sides; I like the January 24, 1911 cancel. I recently got this from an auction firm which has given me many headaches recently; you can read more about my "auction dilemma" here: thestampforum.boards.net/thread/6287/auction-dilemma-J.

Just seen your COLUMBUS Commem set above Stan, Somehow the buckskin clad 19th century settlers and covered waggon don't quite gel with Columbus, and I'm not sure the San Marino designers got the Amerindian Caribs quite right meeting Columbus. Ho Hum artistic licence or errors of design? The diagonal blue streaks one the 4 lire are "doctor blade flaws"

I remember so well my day trip to San Marino, really impressed even as a curious teenager. I believe my daughter was also suitably impressed when she visited upon my recommendation during her Italian trip in 2018. So here's one for San Marino.........been forgotten about for a while. Not sure how these 2 sheets came into my possession but they will depart it in the near future.
