Hi all,
I collect Swords/knives on stamps and would like some help.... what does the hand holding dagger mean in the heraldic design of Ireland Scott 65?

Moderator's Note: The original thread title cited Ireland, Sc69, but as pointed out subsequently by another member, that stamp is not one with the "sword in hand" design. Consequently, the thread title has been changed to indicate Sc65, which is the lowest value in the definitive set with the design described. An image has been added below.
