Another acquisition from Chicago. Looks to be an 11 type I postmarked Putney VT Jan 20 Notation says 1857. Nothing on the back. Nothing really special about it, just liked it

thanks for the info Rod. I've included it in an album page for this cover. I think that sort of thing makes them more interesting.

You guys in North America are so fortunate, your history is so well documented. I really enjoy searching covers' history. Nice work James, you have given this cover its passport, and secured its longevity for the next 200 years. Rescued it from a shoebox. Some of these covers go right off in a tangent. With Zipper's "Fairbanks" cover, the good Reverend was the son of the inventor of the "Fairbanks Platform Scale" a HUGE enterprise in North America, that cover alone, would demand some months of study, I think I got this one history down to a family tree to George Bush. I think it was this one, not sure now. I gave up in bewilderment. You seem to be able to make a great page so effortless, you are gifted. Only one thing left, I think you should, if possible, send a copy to the author, Miss Larson at Keene It would be a real delight for her to see her work recognised and used in this manner. I think this type of work, captures the imagination, and promotes Philately enormously. Over and out.
