For interests sake, my research into this cover has produced little, except that the founder of the town of Friendship NY has the same last name as yours truly, and came from approx. the same area of the country as my Loyalist family. Don't know if we're related, but my genealogist sister is looking into it.

Another follow up on this one. Finally deciphered the line below the 'address'. It reads Nile Post Office. Nile was a small town/village just south of Friendship NY. Been looking for an image of the postoffice of the day, but no luck. The search goes on (that's what makes it interesting!). Here's an image I did find of a post office in Friendship, but I'm sure it's not the one. The information I found tells of a store which was later turned into a post office. I suspect that is this building.
