For those that are au-fait with working within the Windows Explorer Hiearchy environment,
ACDSee compliments that, and I will review ACDSee (Version 3.1) only, over the next few months.
So first, it's an old banger, (But the best in my humblest of opinions) where do we get it?
I am unaware of any legalities here, so please advise if this is unlawful.
Download your free copy here (search for ACDSee version 3.1)
www.oldversion.com/
PS: I emailed ACDSee last year, looking to purchase a full legit version of 3.1, after mine crashed, but I was not afforded a reply,
so purchase of a new copy is doubtful.
My big problem here is that I originally bought a legal copy, way back when self adhesives hit the market
so it was along time ago. I since lost the disks during moving overseas, but I retained my licence number.
For those that download the free model, not sure how you will register a copy?
1. For a mickey Mouse presentation, ACDSee should work hand in hand with Google PICASA (for cropping and squaring the images)
(be wary when first downloading PICASA it will try to attempt to load every image on your Hard Disk, I cannot recall how I overcame this, but I'll work on it)
Screen shot
Windows Explorer style, I have logged onto Cuba, bottom left I can see my album has 1099 stamps (images) which are using 188.2 Mb of Hard Disk Real estate.
File Tree is on the left , which gives one adequate representation of where to drive to find your other images.
More Later
PS: For the newbies looking, a good idea to look at these small images, is to right click the image, and "open link in new window" to appreciate the full image.
