I have been a member here for sometime and thought it was time to say a little about myself. I have been collecting on and off over the years and just recently have taken up exhibiting. I am a member of two Philatelic Societies here in New Zealand and being Secretary of one for something like 14 year before moving out of Auckland. My interests include Australia, Canada, USA, Great Britain, Germany Sweden, Gold Horizon Labels from GB, Stamps on a Roll from Ireland and Registration Labels and covers.

Welcome Gazza, Great to have a Kiwi aboard, home of some great Philatelists, I have a few NZ club magazines, and they make great reading, (The Captain Coqk periodicals) Also purchased a great manuscript for "The Great White Fleet" from a collector some time ago. I had to Google "Gold Horizon Labels" and instantly recognised them, they have quite a broad collecting base around the world, captured the imagination of a lot of collectors. If you collect Worldwide registration Labels, I have a bunch I could pass on. Cheers.

Great to see you posting.I often wonder what the members who seldom post are all about. Please share some of your knowledge here.I have been absent for a bit but will be back very soon now.Welcome Gazza !! My camper and deck are being moved this week and I am exhausted from manual labor involved. Moving the deck is almost the same as moving a house down the road, a thirty five foot structure.

I have done a 16 and 32 page Exhibit on Horizon Gold labels and managed Grand award with the 16 page but I find it hard to make a good exhibit with these labels as you have to work out how you are going to do it and if you have the material. I have something like 3500 labels and I still need more to make a decent exhibit,,,,especially on cover. my other Exhibit I did well with was Stamps on a Roll or known as SOAR....this was interesting as I had to purchase all the material to do it. As for Registration labels.....I have just done a 32 page exhibit on New Zealand labels and found it very interesting and challenging to say the least.
rod222 where are the labels from, I only have a few overseas labels at present.

gazza767Congratulations on the Grand Award, would be nice to see a scan of a page or 2, of your label exhibit. The labels are sundry, from what I recall, I haven't dug them out recently. All duplicates from a lot I was given by our member Ryan, free of charge, I am passing forward.
