I live in Chattanooga Tennessee and am looking for someone close to me that can certify several stamps for me. I have a 3c blue green Washington, unused, soft porous paper, special printing stamp.
I also have a shermack 111 type 1A 2c deep rose Washington stamp that I need looked at.
I have a 1c Franklin soft porous paper. It appears to be a bright Ultra.
if anyone has anybody near me I could contact please let me know.
Or if you have any opinions please feel free to express them.

There are several APS stamp clubs in Tennessee; if one is close to you I'm sure you'd find people willing to help. APS also offers both identification and authentication services at reasonable cost. The Philatelic Foundation and Professional Stamp Experts are two other entities providing similar services. If you are simply looking for opinions on the proper identification of your stamps, scan or photograph them and post the images here so that forum members can try to assist.

Sorry best pictures I could get. I know you can't certify them on here but would appreciate any opinions. The Shermack looks rough but I notice most are. The two ultras are different also one seems to be a bright Ultra. The blue green at top is unused, real good color. The one on the bottom is a 207 blue green.

I'm not a U.S. guy, although I guess I better brush up on them soon.If your confident in your identification I'd probably leave it at that.If you happen to a stamp browse I'm sure someone there would be glad to verify your I.D. Your stamps shown are like most of mine less than perfect and spending money on certs just adds cost to a stamp you will never recover back ever. Mom has willed her U.S. to me and it somewhat scares me to delve into an area I haven't looked at seriously in over forty years. She has been at it over eighty years.I help with her U.S. but it is usually just to fetch her albums or cut a mount for her.

I think the stamp that you're referring to as a Schermack may have been an incomplete attempt at faking one. The image lacks clarity but there appear to be indications of trimmed perforations at left and protrusions at right in the approximate location of the upper hyphen hole perforation of a Type III. Here is an information sheet on the Type III that provides measurements for the Type III perforations. As to your other stamps, the lack of image clarity makes it impossible to determine the presence or absence of the secret marks needed for proper stamp identification. Here is an online reference that will help you with your large banknotes.

Ok I've got some more good pictures of these stamps. Some good close ups so you can see color better and marks
