What I collect: Worldwide airmail stamps through 1940, unused

More obscure airmails, this time from Bolivia: These are Sanabria 1, 2 and 3, unlisted in Scott. They paid the air charge from Cochambamba to Sucre, Oruro and La Paz in August 1925. They were overprinted especially for these flights and sold at the Post Office, according to Sanabria. Bolivia had issued airmails in December 1924, so I don't know why these were necessary. Perhaps the airmail stamps had not made their way to Cochambamba. These stamps were purchased from Universal Philatelic Auctions, an excellent auction house in Britain. As usual, the price was outstanding. I already had Sanabria 2, which I bought in a Swedish auction. But I had never seen the full set offered. Universal Philatelic Auctions holds four sales per year. The sales are huge, with thousands and thousands of lots. They don't publish many pictures, and they reference Stanley Gibbons, a problem for us Scott users. But they are always willing to provide scans. Prices are right, and there is no buyer's commission. I have no connection to UPA. Just a satisfied customer.

Wanted to post some pics of new airmails stamps I have, but couldn't figure out how to. Seems like you need to link to another site? Don't know why TSF doesn't allow you to easily upload a photo as other stamp discussion groups do...

TSF doesn't allow the uploading of photos like other groups because it costs money to do so and those funds aren't available. To post images you need to have an offsite image host such as Photobucket, Imgur, Imageshack, etc., most of which are free. There is a thread in the FAQ section that explains how to upload photos.
