Very nice covers Perfs12. Are the two 'extra' stamps some sort of 'war' charge?

I think they are local charity stamps. Quite a few towns, particularly in Nationalist areas, issued them to raise funds for services and the like.
The Nationalist slogans "Arriba Espana" and "Viva Espana" are often found on the labels.
I would really like to find out more about these. Does anyone know of any literature on these, preferably in English?

Spanish Civil War is something iknow very little about, so I'm looking forward to learning more here. I do have a bunch of SCW stamps I've picked up in collections here and there, so I'll be looking in here too.

I'd like to revisit this thread with these labels I've recently found. They bear the yoke and arrow symbol of Franco's Fascist party.
Google translates the larger ones 'Cocinas economics Fuente de Piedra' as 'economic kitchen stone fountain' (I've never said Google's translations were perfect!). The smaller labels read 'social assistance' at the top, which makes sense. But 'Loya' at the bottom translates as 'nausea'. Hmmm. I will assume these are charity labels. I wonder who the gentleman is. I don't think it looks like Franco, though I guess it could just be a very bad portrait.

I think it is Franco, mine is still under "unidentified" (Not listed in Edifil) I'll look in my Civil War Catalogue....

The Generals in the Spanish Civil war, The Nationalists, were active in Southern Spain early, and in my Civil War Catalogue...
Nationalist Towns which issued tax Stamps include Fuente Piedra (Province of Malaga), ergo I believe that is what our stamps are.
The towns appear to number in the tens, maybe the hundreds, which illustrate what a collecting challenge this discipline is.

Thanks for the info Rod. I did think 'nausea' was an odd thing to include on a stamp. Went back to the stock book were I found these and discover these two as well. It pays to look twice (at least).

One of my favorite blocks are from this period: (sadly not in my collection - yet) The Submarine issue. The most interesting of the Republican issues. Noguera thought of the idea of a special submarine service from Barcelona to the besieged island of Minorca, Postage stamps feature "A", "B" and "C" class submarines Submarine C4 left Barcelona 12 th Aug 1938 arriving Mahon, in Minorca 13th, then back to Barcelona 18th. 300 registered covers were carried along with 100 special covers (25 with complete set) A miniature sheet was alos issued (12,500 sheets) As of 1974 this was the only Spanish Submarine Post.

These days, I spend 3 times as much on philatelic literature as I do on stamps. (Then I use three times as long on translating foreign languages as I do on working with my collection....) I will add the above to my wish list

Ryan is "The Stamp Forum's" official Librarian nut, he has a vast collection, I am just following in his footsteps, or trying to.... but I agree with you, there are some fascinating bits of info out there, a lot of it is beginning to appear on the web, esp the Scandinavian countries.

A 5c 1937 label from the fascist Falange (Phalanx) Party featuring its founder, Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera. Antonio was taken by the republican government on July 6, 1936 and held captive until being tried and subsequently executed on November 20, 1936. The upper left of the stamp features the Falange Pary's logo - a yoke and five arrows.

Would envisage articles from both sides. Republican and Nationalist. 1937 Republian Anti fascist. Segell Antifeixiste Tortosa Tortosa (Tarragona) Tarragona issued Republican Tax Stamps, this one I have read, may have been philanthropic.

Does anybody have any idea from where this Spanish Civil War provisional issue might have come from - it's from somewhere in Asturias based on the overprint I recently picked up a set of the EDIFIL Spain Specialized Catalogs, so I have volume VI which covers the Civil War local issues, but after searching a half hour I can not find this stamp (was submitted by a Colnect user). if anyone has any leads that might help me track down its identity I would be appreciative. I found this item and noticed that the overprint is in black rather than red. I don't have access to the applicable catalogs / books and request a member look it up and share if there is any mention of a black overprint in addition to the red, or if forgery black overprints are known to be produced? If not, I'll have the ink analyzed unless a member has a better suggestion. Thank you! Yvert et Tellier ES PA139 Stanley Gibbons ES-CA 35 Edifil ES CA29

This is the image for the issue from the 2023 Edifil catalogue. As you wrote, it only lists a red overprint for your value. Looking at the quality of the overprint on your stamp and that in the image from my catalogue, does suggest your overprint may have been an attempt by someone to fill a space in his or her album.

However, the overprint shown there is very different from the one shown by millersville:
