thegubman : The 5/- stamp "BB" is: Baring Brothers & Co Ltd, Merchants & Forwarders, 8 Bishopgate, London EC 1900-15 The 1/- I really can't identify, the 2 B's are different from each other and whilst I can find quite a few combinations of different B's I can't see one like this (unless I have gone "B" blind looking at so many)

thegubman , you are correct The Daily Graphic, Milford Lane, Strand, London WC. or after 1903, The (Daily) Graphic, Tallis House, Whitefriars, London EC4. Also Tallis House, Tallis St, Victoria Embankment, London SW.

QV 1d lilac perfin G L & Co on nice postcard Market Place Hull 1901. The purple advertising marks state Geo Latus and Co Hull and grimsby. I looked them up in the 1893 Kelly's directory and found them under Latus George & Co. ship brokers & colliery agents 6 Humber Place (see the last scan). Always nice to get a perfin insitu to confirm what the lettering is. Graham

I have a perfin on an unused GB Scott #32, it's a three half pence stamp from 1870. "WHR" is clearly perf'd on it, reading from the front. Anyone have an idea what WHR stands for?
This stamp has cv of $500 unused. About how much would it be worth as a perfin? I've read that perfins may only be worth 10% of the ordinary catalogue value. Any comments?
Thx

GB QV 1d red lettered DG perfin (T W S & Co) cover dated 1879, postmark Hull sent to Liverpool. This is an invoice sent from Thomas Wilson Sons and Co from Hull. A pity the stamp is damaged and I apologise for the quality of the last two pictures (it is too big for my scanner). Graham

Can anyone identify this CNE perfin please? ... Also.. is there a definitive answer yet on what a perfin does to the catalogue value of a stamp? ... Also.. do I get any extra points for it being an inverted perfin? Edit: just realised it may not be inverted after all.. Just a unique set of letters that work either way up! So can anyone identify this as ECN? Further edit: doubting myself now... N doesn't look right... Think I may have been correct in the first place.. It is inverted!

Here's one I didn't see here yet. This is the 9d Jubilee issue with a "KLD" perfin, page K, smaller L and tiny D. The hinge on the back is great for highlighting the holes!
The second one is a bit blurry, but it shows the K L D, with the K indistinct here, but it is a K.
Tia!

I don’t know what company the K represents. But the.LD Is an abbreviation for “limited”

A bit more of an unusual one here, with perfin C G & S (Charles Goodall & Son) in a heart shape on a 1 1/2d lilac with London 1887 postmark. There was some information found by goggle search and details provided in the jpeg. In use from 1881 to 1920 with London postmarks. Graham

Clever perfin design!
For me, a VERY cool and FUN part of perfin collecting is that they can make looking through a big, heavily duplicated pile of very common old stamps much more fun - you know what I mean?
