I finally got around to the one German colony I hadn't yet touched -- Kiauchau. I had held off because it's the most difficult to collect and I have tons of holes. I just realized that I never posted to this thread to inform users that I'm making PDFs of my album pages available to the general public. It's a slow process, as I have to go in and remove the catalog numbers, and I'm using it as an opportunity to add captions to most of the photos and to create multiple versions. All are available in letter size, and most are also available in A4. All will eventually be available in both sizes. There are basic and specialized versions; versions with and without photos of the stamps in the boxes; and for the Third Reich period, versions that comply with German laws regarding the use of Third Reich symbols. Anyone who's interested can follow the progress and download the pages here. There's also a link on the front page of my website. They are printable, but not editable. Anyone needing minor edits or customizations can let me know and I'll see what I can do to accommodate. A big addition today. I added blank pages for all 10 German Colonies. As this is my most specialized collecting area, the Specialized pages are far more specialized than most of my other blank pages. They also include the British/French/Belgian occupations of the German Colonies. I also tweaked the appearance of some of the basic, consistent parts of the pages (the flags, non-stamp photos, etc.) to give them more depth and make the pages a little more professional looking. I'll eventually go back and make the same changes to the previously uploaded pages to make them match. As always, pages can be found here. A sample from each of the colonies: Good Morning. I tried to download these, and they won't open once I do. It says that "Acrobat Can't Decrypt this document". Do you have them encrypted? I just wanted to change the format so I can print them on my Lighthouse pages.

They are locked for editing to keep people from modifying them and distributing them as their own. If you need versions sized for Lighthouse pages, I can probably make you a custom copy pretty easily. I would just need to know (1) which ones you need; (2) the paper dimensions in mm; and (3) a sample scan of a Lighthouse page with content on it would help so I can make sure the print area is set correctly. |

I had no problem open them. Opened straight away in chrome and opened also in acrobat reader.

Not a problem, mikeclevenger. Sorry about having to lock them down, but I had a bad experience once before. This is actually my second time making custom pages available on my website. The first time, several years ago, I made them available as unencrpyted PDFs. Within two weeks, someone had taken my pages, edited them to remove my website info, and was selling them on eBay. |
