Two modern German stamps mailed this day. Both featuring paintings.
First is the low value Europa of 1996 featuring famous women. It is a self-portrait by Paula Modersohn-Becker (1876-1907), issued May 3, 1996.
The second painting is Yellow Feather in Red by Ernst Wilhelm Nay (1902-1968), issued June 6, 2002.

25th June (1941) Kenya-Uganda-Tanganyika, Sc 74, 20-cent orange & gray black pictorial stamp with portrait of King George VI flanked by East or South African Cranes and postmarked on this date in 1941 in Mombasa, Kenya. Editorial Note: It is unfortunate that the postmark seems to give poor KGVI a black eye, especially considering the date. In the summer of 1941, the King must have been under some incredible stress with the progress of WWII up to that point. As Winston Churchill said in a speech on 18th June 1940, "This was their finest hour." Things were still going very well for the Axis Powers in the War in Europe at the time of this postmark.

26 June 1915 Mauritania YV 34. A stamp from the merchants crossing the desert series,first issued in 1913 and overprinted in 1915 with a 5c surcharge to help the Red Cross. Postmarked in Port Etienne,the second largest city.Mauritania gained independence in 1960 and the city was renamed Nouadhibou.  |

26 June 1929 French Sudan YV40,issued in 1925.Postmark is from Tombouctou,the French name for Timbuktu.Prior to French rule,Timbuktu was an important trading centre. Timbuktu is also synonymous with an elusive , mysterious and hard to reach place.  |

Then the 100pf Europa highlighting Contemporary Art, this one paying "Homage to the Square" a painting by Joseph Albers (1888-1976) issued May 5, 1993.
The last, the Historic Sites and Objects series 100pf Altötting Chapel, Bavaria, issued February 9, 1989.

26th June (1935) Canada, Sc 223, 10-cent carmine rose commemorative stamp issued to honor the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and postmarked on this date in 1935 in Kenogami, Quebec. From Wikipedia: Note on provenance: I got this stamp from Frog ( firstfrog2013 ) back in 2017 as part of a big auction lot to benefit TSF. Thanks, Frog!    Period advertisement (date unknown, but probably 1910s-1920s) touting the town of Kenogami as the site of a new paper mill. From what I read, it seems that Kenogami became a company town linked to the paper mill, and this ad was trying to attract other investors.
