March 29
This stampless folded letter was sent from Peoria, Illinois on this date. The 30mm red CDS was in use between 1848 and 1851. The red cogged oval 10 indicates the over 300 miles zone rate for half-ounce letters that was in effect from July 1, 1845 to June 29, 1851.

This appears to be a March 30, 1891 cancel on a Wenden 2K: Of course, their March 30 was not our March 30...

March 30The 4c orange, yellow, brown, green & black, perf. 14x14.5 stamp (Scott 102) on this first day cover was one of two stamps issued on this date in 1962 to honor the World Health Organization and promote the international campaign to eradicate malaria. The other stamp in the set, Scott 103), is an 11c of the same design in green, yellow, brown & indigo. On both stamps, the words in the frame are in gray. The stamps were designed by Rashid-ud Din and printed in London by Harrison and Sons, Ltd.

Members may note the late usage of the leading "S" in Nassau, is an "F" ergo NAFSAU Street. Old habits are hard to break.

45 minutes early, I know. But I'm heading to bed, and I'll probably forget tomorrow. So, here's May 5, 1950, with a nice Kansas City Centennial cancel on Mr. Samuel Gompers (SC#988)

April 7th in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and MLO on a Machin. It seems odd that they would use MLO instead of a town name. MLO means Mechanized Letter Office. And Port of Spain, Trinidad.

I checked all my pmks, they are consistent in form for 50 odd years in the Netherlands, April were not in abundance, but the few there were , were 1V. All my other Gravenhage pmks were correct, I'd suggest this is just a random peculiarity, yet why the date slug has opportunity for 4 numerals for the month, is head scratching.
8 =V111 That explains it, the clerk accidentally loaded a 1 instead of a V
