October 14th Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 1907 White Rolls cigarettes advert cover.
Another indication of a lower case "F" as an "S" = Mifs =Miss very common in the day. The Runic letter "Thorn" = "p" (giving the sound of "TH") was badly translated to "Y" Hence we get "Ye Olde Inn" meaning "The Olde Inn"

I think you meant the "long S" in Miƒs. Sarah Martin. But yes I enjoy ye olde cursive etiquette very much! I wanted to share this in this thread since Rod brought it up. - "The Long S" ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_s

October 16, Wadesville, VA.{?} Registered cover
Nice! A new Etiquette on the first cover, not seen before. Your Wadesville cover, the 2c Green looks suspicious, added later do you think?

October 16th, 1928
Cover from “Baqi p.-t. k. / Баку п.-т. к.” (Baku, bilingual cds) to Moscow, 19/10/1928 (backstamp, not shown). The cover is franked correctly at 20k with 18k "small head" and 2k "large Head" definitives. The non-standard registration label is perfed on 3 sides, has a black line border and a pre-printed registration number (due to misperforation, the number is written on the label by hand). It also bears the city name in 2 languages: Azeri (modified Latin) and Russian.

The one that was/is on it is ripped (just white backing) so I forgot I slapped that over it..I was trying to make sense of something and just forgot about it. I didn't mean to deceive anyone but I was seeing if it was the green or red stamp and determined that it must be one of the greens so, I just left it there as a reminder...my bad.

October 19th, 1922
Inflation-period cover from Деміевка, Кіевск. Контр. Пал. (Demievka, Kiev) to London, red registered division receiver on back. Franked correctly at 150R for the registered letter rate of the period 18/10-3/11 with 15x10 kopeck Imperial Arms stamps, revalued 100x to rubles. The non-standard registration label is a blue-border insured-letter one, with a pre-printed number and a crayon “З” applied to the left. Demievka appears to have no separate canceller of its own– the stamps might have been cancelled by blue pencil, but there are only minute traces of it– and the stamps were properly cancelled in Kiev-4.
Demievka was a small town SW of Kiev, literally at that time a Kiev suburb with a large Jewish population (today in Goloseevskiy district of Kiev). In the 1930’s it was renamed Stalinka, a name unofficially retained until the 1980’s.

October 20th Newbury Ms. With Carrier stamp (which I believe is genuine despite the cert because I don't trust the certification board that issued it.) I bought it this way just because I liked it.
October 20th, 1862 Philadelphia Pa.
