January 22nd, 1930
Postal stationery envelope from Курск п.-т.к. (Kursk) to Nancy, France, 26/1/1930. Franked correctly at 28k with definitives supplementing the envelope indicium. The non-standard registration label is on white-cream paper, with black lettering and pre-printed registration number. Registration handstamp of Kursk without an added reg.number.

January 24th, 1920
Cover from Paris-75 to Lausanne, Switzerland, backstamp on the 25th in Lausanne station. Franked at 70c with definitives. Declared-value letter for a value of 456 francs – a “CHARGE” handstamp in black and a label (with grossly misplaced “Paris”) for money letter / registration (?).
The sender of the letter was general Tcherbatcheff, once commander-in-chief of the Russian and Rumanian armies at the southeastern front. In 1920, he was apparently (as per the was seals on the back) the “Military representative of the supreme leader of Russia attached to the governments and the supreme command of the allies”. (Chef Supreme – Verkhovnyi Pravitel was the title that had been given to Kolchak in November 1918 and recognized by the French. On 21/1/1920 Kolchak had been arrested by the Soviet government, while the White supreme command had been transferred to Denikin since the beginning of January).
Wow! Lovely cover Vasia. Valuable I should think, as well.
