If anyone is in the market for low-priced mounts, Robert Corbett (showgardseconds) is offering a 10% rebate on mount purchases made during September. I've been buying mounts from him for several years and have been completely satisfied with the product. I just received the below notice regarding the offer.
LAST SHOWGARD MOUNT SALE OF THE YEAR. If you are still collecting stamps, check your supplies. Receive a 10% rebate on all Showgard purchases made in September. Go to www.showgardseconds.com and pay with paypal. Rebate will be credited back to your paypal account. Now is the time to stock up on your mount supplies. Rebate does not apply to California resident sales tax or s&h. Sale ends 9/30/16.

Hi Steve
Was always curious about "Showgard seconds". Why are they seconds?

Hi Steve
Thanks! A few scratches should not be a problem. I have "scratched" some "firsts" myself and once the stamp is in the mount, one cannot tell. The only mounts I will not use are the ones that are wavy, for whatever reason, usually poor storage conditions or really really really old.

I've bought and used his "seconds" mounts a number of times in the past with good results and suspect I'll by buying more in the future. I've had no issues with this seller's product.
