Great Summary and thanks for representing TSF! I'm going to try and attend PIPEX mid month but don't know if I will be able to make it. Probably will be a last minute decision. Thanks, Mike! Many of the dealers from WESTPEX will also be attending PIPEX, I learned. I hope that you and jkjblue will be able to make it--wish I could meet you there!

WESTPEX Treasures Revisited Now that I have access to my scanner once again, I am re-posting photos of some of the best stamps I acquired at the show. Sorry about the variable quality of the photos I took with my iPhone camera in the earlier post.

It sounds like it will be a good show, and likely attended by a couple of other TSF members like coastalcollector and jkjblue. Well, I wish you the best and hope that you may still find a way to get to a show in the near future. Hang in there, TC!

@beryllium Guy Thank you for your review! I have passed it along to the show Chairman. I'm happy we connected at WESTPEX because I now know about TSF. This is one of the many benefits of attending stamp shows! There is always at least one new connection. For anyone who attended the show, pictures are available on our Facebook page (You can post your photos/purchases from the show as well!). If you have any comments or feedback, please let us know! If you didn't have the chance to attend, you can see what happened on our page! Link: www.facebook.com/westpexstampshow

Your group did such a great job, there is no question that some recognition was due. To all other TSF Members: Jessica was too polite to ask for herself, but I know that she is hoping to get some "likes" on the WESTPEX Facebook page, so please let's help her out and do that! I am not on Facebook myself, but I am going to ask my wife to do it from her account. I know that at least bobby1948 is a Facebook user, because he has posted about it in the past. So, c'mon out there, let's get the WESTPEX Facebook page some likes! Thanks, all!

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.... My WESTPEX Summary Let me begin by stating that there was way more Good than either Bad or Ugly at the show for me. But there are a few things I would like to mention: The UglyBought a U.S., Scott #236, 8c Columbian advertised as MNH for a great price, but when I got it home and looked under some good light.... It is lightly hinged, but definitely previously hinged, and worse, there is a thin in the lower right-hand corner. The organizers really need to make some better lighting available so that stamps can be properly examined at the time of purchase. Something similar to this happened to me once before at my very first WESTPEX 15-20 years ago. I plan to contact the dealer to tell him what I found, but I doubt I will get very far. Well, shame on my skepticism! I called the dealer today from whom I bought the erstwhile 8c Columbian, and to my relief, he agreed to accept the stamp back for a full refund, and pay the shipping charges.... just thought I should mention this addendum to the earlier post. It is always satisfying when integrity plays a role in the doings of everyday life!

I Should be there all day Saturday looking forward to the show been a while since I have been to a big show cant wait! This is great news, TC, glad it will work out after all! You may want to think about starting a new thread to post some comments and photos about your PIPEX experience, especially if you are able to meet up with jkjblue , Mick, and/or coastalcollector . It would be great to hear about your experiences there.
