More Unknowns (But as yet, not looked through the offered link above) That site deals strictly with airmail labels, so these will fall outside its purview. They will take some searching! Ryan

Tell me, I know this is Dutch, but is it an etiquette or selvage? It has a postmark, and appears to be roulette perfed on the left side.

To make up for that last question, here's a nice polite Canadian etiquette from a 1962 cover. **well, they're all polite, aren't they, those Canadians?**

Tell me, I know this is Dutch, but is it an etiquette or selvage? It has a postmark, and appears to be roulette perfed on the left side. This is an ATM stamp (Automatenmarke, computer-vended postage). These stamps were printed with a thermal printer, like a fax machine, and like the printouts from fax machines, the printing is prone to fading. On your copy, you can't see much of anything. These will have country name & denomination, plus some smaller printing that refers to the machine used to print the label, I think. Here's an image with the printing in better shape, nabbed from Delcampe. Ryan

Rod, for some reason I seem to remember that your "Expressz" label is Hungarian. Let me snoop a bit and see if I can find some proof ... Edit - OK, here we go, found on Delcampe. Ryan

Mac, I don't recall ever seeing that etiquette on Australian covers before. Nice one for the records. I presume the arrow is the reverse of that cover.

Thanks Steve, your anguish is over.....Poland internet Author : Debbie Since the new designation "Priorytet" for air mail in/from Poland was mentioned recently I thought I'd update y'all. This week I received a Christmas card (nothing in it) that was sent from southeastern Poland by "Priorytet" (new designation for air mail). The stamps were cancelled on December 16, 2002. Hardly worth the money since it took over a month to get to my mailbox! My understanding is that Priorytet assures the envelope will arrive in Europe within 3 days and anywhere else in the world in 6 days. It's hard to place blame considering it can take the US post office 7 days to deliver a package 10 miles from its origination point. Debbie ------------------------------------------------------ The ONLY other polish etiquette I have is .........

Your unknowns 142 and 149 are from Sweden. Those perforated labels come in stamp booklets - here's an example scan nabbed from an eBay listing. Ryan

I hereby voice my disapproval of the advertising !
"Chat with women," "you have a message click here" "shoot 3 targets" disgusting stuff for a stamp forum.
This will be my last post.

"Chat with women," "you have a message click here" "shoot 3 targets" What, no advertisements for smileys? But I want smileys! And screensavers! And zyngas, whatever the heck zyngas are! I guess I'll have to satisfy myself with shooting targets, ho hum. Hooray for Adblock Plus! Ryan

I'm not sure if this is properly an etiquette or, more likely, a custom's exemption notice applied to a package. Any thoughts?

If it cut from a cover, then no. If it is a label, gummed or not, that was designed to be attached to postal ephemera, then yes.
Your previous post, are all etiquettes, excepting the "R" Labels, they are classified as Registraltion labels, a different family, a different collecting discipline.

Now, I've just started my Scandinavian collecting experience and these happen to be from Finland. The stars seem to be aligning for me! Thank you for the insight.

Here are a few etiquettes attached to recent mailings I have received. First, a couple of different ones from Serbia (a bit blurry on the one, didn't scan it very well). Next, one from Croatia. Here's the latest airmail label from Germany. And this one comes from Iceland. Ryan
