Just found this rather strange postcard for sale, the like of which I have never seen before. I can't quite make out if this is some sort of monocolour cutout which has been pasted onto a blank postcard, or it has been printed like this. It was sent in November 1906 by a Royal Marine stationed aboard H.M.S. ASTRAEA, to England. I've not shown the back as it is fairly dull; and someone has ripped the stamp off. What has tickled me is the 'Kismas message', shown enlarged in the second image.

What I collect: If I have a catalogue for it, I collect it. And I have many, many catalogues ....

I'm a fan of animated nonsense, and one day in the animated nonsense aisle at the video store I found a collection of all of the episodes of the Mr. Magoo Show cartoons. Duly purchased! Put them on and was somewhat bemused to note that Cholly, with his ridiculous buck teeth and pidgin accent, had become Charlie, still with ridiculous buck teeth but now without an accent. On some episodes, anyway. Charlie remained Cholly in others, for reasons unknown.
Charlie as Cholly:
