Two rare small sheets on thin card, not generally available. The top sheet is an Artist's Proof - Final Trial of Overlay Artworks for Hogswatch (Christmas) stamps and a sheet of sports, deliberate errors, for another Hogswatch issue depicting a post box. With some sports being more subtle than others, including various degrees of blood on the snow. {Mongooses were introduced into post boxes to keep down the snake population which were introduced to reduce the toad population which were introduced to reduce the number of snails }

A sheet of Hogswatch Hogfather (Discworld's Father Christmas) stamps with an obvious 'sport' (a stamp with a deliberate difference). Based on the Patrician stamp.

These two 'postcards' scanned rather better than I had hoped. They are example from the Battle of Koom Valley between dwarves and trolls as told in the book Thud. Both with Ankh-Morpork stamps cancelled with Field Post KV marks. The first written on Military Issue Dwarf Bread and the second written on rock by trolls. The stamps are different, the one on Dwarf Bread shows dwarves chasing away trolls and the one on rock depicts trolls chasing dwarves away. More readable close-ups of the descriptive cards shown below.

EATEN BY SNAILS
I did once receive a letter marked Eaten by Snails by The Post Office. Here is a fine example of an Ankh Morpork letter that has been similarly effected. Note that the stamps are slightly different. The one on the right has the head of the patrician looking up at certain 'goings on' in the cabbage field. Shown front and back.

An unissued imperforate sheet for Klatch, a country on Discworld that resembles a medieval Arabic state. The design would later be used for Djelibeybi (pronounced jelly baby as in the sweet), another country on Discworld.

The next lot are examples of 'running sheets'. Samples were taken during the litho printing process either on stamp paper or on plain paper for quality control purposes. Two panes from 2005 depicting Vetinari Official Post stamps. The sheet in plum is the standard one, the other sheet in a variety of colours and with phosphor errors, was available only on a trade-in basis. These running sheets are, in addition, imperforate.

My first Discworld stamps arrived! Big thanks to Alex, vikingeck, who helped ship them to me across the pond. Well now, see what you all did? I’m hooked on Discworld stamps! But I’m cheap frugal, so I’ll limit purchases to bulk bargain lots, eh? And trading maybe. Hmmm My favorite so far is this stamp honoring BS (Bloody Stupid) Johnson, famous Ankh-Morpork architect. Here’s a pic of part of my nascent collection…

A recent cover for the 20th Anniversary of Discworld stamps with a special triangular stamp depicting the Discworld. The lack of postmark is disappointing.
