This is Hattie. At least that's what I think her name is. That's what it says on the pin on her collar. Hattie is a pretty young thing. Her picture is on a studio photo I purchased today. Why did I purchase Hattie, you ask? Because this is what's on the back of Hattie. Hattie was mailed from Chicago (you can just make out the Chicago postmark) to Seaforth Ontario, I would guess around 1887, because that's when the stamp was issued (SC#212), but possibly later. The date written is unclear, though it does read June. Writing under the stamp seems to indicate Hattie was when this picture was taken. Certainly an interesting way to send a photograph.

This is Hattie. Writing under the stamp seems to indicate Hattie was 16 years old, when this picture was taken. Lovely portrait.
