Hello all, if this has been discussed already, please forgive my gaffe. When I am creating a post, and hit Preview, nothing seems to happen. I am using firefox 21. Thanks, Theron.

Ryan I accidentally hit "edit" tab instead of "quote" tab so I messed up your post...sorry man. ANYHOW...What does all that mean? How does one see the post to see if all is OK before actually posting it? Please excuse my ignorance on this matter.

When you create a post in the Preview tab, what you see is what you get.

Oh I see the image appears right in the text field. Thanks. I knew that but if you use the tags they don't pop up straight away. I got it now thanks.

I hadn't considered posts with images hosted offsite as I haven't used that function since LB1 had issues seeing images I had posted on another forum that were hosted on Imageshack. From what you've said, it appears that there is no true preview of posts with images hosted offsite. Do I understand that to be correct?

From what you've said, it appears that there is no true preview of posts with images hosted offsite. Do I understand that to be correct? When I've posted off-site images, I click on the BBCode tab (next to the Preview tab) to enter the code, then I go back to the Preview tab and can see my full post with the image before actually posting.

The Preview mode is active when you compose your post - it gives you a WYSIWYG view of your post (WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get). If you click on the BBCode button, you'll get a look at your post with the computer codes used to display your message (assuming you need a code for something, such as displaying an image, quoting a previous message, changing the font, inserting a URL hyperlink, etc.). Then you would need to click on the Preview button again to get back to the WYSIWYG. In the stone age days of the internet, there were no WYSIWYG editors - if you wanted to do anything other than type straight text, you needed formatting codes of some sort (like the pseudo-HTML code for the kittens below). Nowadays, most programs have WYSIWYG editors. And, as a further explanation, if I were to click on the BBCode button for this post, instead of seeing a picture of the kittens I would see this: ---------- ---------- Boy, what a mess these Google Photos make of their URLs ....
