Eastern Tailed-Blue ButterflyThis non-denominated (68 cent), multicolored, serpentine die cut 10.75 stamp featuring an Eastern Tailed-Blue butterfly was issued on September 24, 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri (Scott 5136). The pressure-sensitive adhesive stamp, designed by Derry Noyes and printed by Ashton Potter in sheets of 240 with 12 panes of 20 stamps, will not soak. The stamp was issued to pay the non-machineable surcharge rate. Like a forever stamp, this stamp will always be valid for the rate printed on it.

This stamp featuring the lovely Citrus Butterfly is on my way via Delcampe.
As lovely as it appears it is a damaging insect as far as citrus fruit go.
Great design for my needs as it actually shows an orange in the design.

Another common theme for personalized stamps in France is of course birth announcements. The issue for boys in 2003 showed a baby in a butterfly custome:

I was very happy to be able to get, among these butterfly stamps, the one of the bottom left, which is one of only a handful of issues of the "United Republic" period of Cameroon that I was still missing:

I also had ordered a Botswana lot, which filled the stockbook to the brim (a good problem to have, in my opinion! ). Here are some butterflies issues from it:

From a large Uganda series on butterflies, two issues from the birthday packet after soaking. Unfortunately one has suffered a bit along the way.

Former Michel nos.964-71,"issued" Oct.3rd,1976. It is quite interesting to read the note in Michel, regarding this and other stamps from Equatorial Guinea:
It is said, that between the middle of 1972 and September 1979 post-offices were closed and the postal service was suspended. Between 1972 and 1980 several (!) agencies produced stamps under the name of Equatorial Guinea. Since 1976 fantasy issues by a british stamp dealer flooded the market... (part)
The above sheetlet is one of latter.
Same set,former Michel Bl.A-B243.
