From Stamp Collector magazine, 1873 Catalogue value now is £475!! "Yes Mr. Post Office Clerk, here is my two shillings. May I please have the corner block of eight with the printer's selvage? And pease let me know if any stamps are missing the little holes between them, I shall pay you double for any you set aside for me! " (time machine set to present day, hope the stamps make it back too!)

What I collect: If I have a catalogue for it, I collect it. And I have many catalogues ....

I have an 1879 "Descriptive Price Catalogue of the Postage Stamps and Postal Cards of All Nations" issued by L.W. Durbin of Philadelphia. This stamp is listed at 15 cents unused!

I fancy the idea. When you've done your shopping and that time machine gets available, please consider me next in line. Was thinking to simply travel a few decades further back in time, as I would easily afford a 3s Swedish stamp directly from the post office (if possible to find a yellow one). Why not go to British Guiana as well, could afford a 1c magenta while I am at it. And still have some leftovers for Champagne on arrival back to today
