Yes, you can make your own with Word, Scribus, Textmaker, Indesign, Acrobat, PagePlus, Publisher, Inkscape, Corel, Powerpoint, Abiword, Calligra, Google Docs, Gnome Office, EuroOffice, Libre Office, Free Office, IWord, WPS and a HOST of others that we all know about so no need to go into them here.
However, sometimes you would like to get pre-made ones or use a dedicated program to make album pages. NOTE- always check the page size format, it may not resize well on your preferred stock pages. Always ask for a sample from sellers.
If you have others send a PM to have them added so as to hopefully keep this thread somewhat concise.
Here are some FREE and not so free options. Most are in English but there is German, French, Russian, Spanish also
BTW - some don't like the color pages as they look like the stamps are already posted. No problem - set your printer to grey-scale when you print them Since they are all pdfs, you can remove/add scripts & images if you have the right software. Aside from Adobe Acrobat (pricey) to make text/image changes, you can use Powerpoint, LibreOffice Draw and one very good free program Inkspace
Other possibilities include - PDF-XChange Editor, ApowerPDF, Sejda PDF Editor, FormSwift's Free PDF Editor
If nothing else, these album pages give some good layout ideas and the stamps to include.
The Stamp Web (various contributors - NOTE when you choose a country, they all bring up the same page (SourceForge) but the indicator will show that the album requested is being downloaded) I make no guarantee that they have license rights
Software to create pages (does not include database programs)

As I start to make album pages for my 1946 Victory Omnibus, I am wondering what do most people prefer -- album pages with images or without images? I am torn between these two. I like the pages without images as they seem neat and without the clutter. Pages with images are more helpful for filling the gaps.

That way, when I am perusing the album, I can refresh my memory more easily about the issues I am missing to help me in spotting them when the occasion arises in a bargain bin or when trading.

I agree with Xavier hrdoktorx . My custom albums' pages also have (the majority of time) a pic which makes it easier to return to and fill the holes, when financially possible René

I have no issues with images on pages but they cannot overwhelm the page. In the example posted, I would like them lighter. The Machin pages I purchased from adminware had pages with color images and without images.
I do not use them for custom pages due to the added time needed to include them.

I prefer NO images like angore . If there must be images, I would want them to be very light. I did a test print of Adminware's Machin's, but didn't like them. Even when printed B&W, it was just too much for me. I tossed out those pages, as the images were overwhelming. On pages like that, it looks like I have all the stamps. The only images I have used are to add to the stamp information, such as a painting of the person, line drawings for the Christmas pages I just made up, etc etc etc. But no images of the stamp itself.

Pete brightonpete The images disappear as soon as you put your mounted stamps so I do not understand - I guess it is "how" you do your pages and pre-made pages will give you lots of holes, depending how early you are going with your stamps and how many you already have. Some of my custom albums do not have any holes - they reflect what I have as I know I am never going to complete that Country X, up to a certain date I choose. For my CANADA album, I did leave empty spots for the stamps I intend to acquire in the future......like a wish list and it is fun to review once in a while and add a few stamps when the price is right !!Interesting views on TSF René

René... ( renden) I do have holes. So it would appear that I do not have any when using colourful images in the alum pages. If you don't have any holes, what's the point of having images as a part of the album if you never see them?

Interesting question and viewpoints guys! I've been creating my own pages for some time now, and prefer my pages as 'clean' as possible - so I am in the 'no-images-club' As a WW collector, I have so many empty boxes that if all those were filled with images it would 'steal' from the stamps I actually have. However I do like to include "snip-outs" (zoomed-in illustrations) of different types, varieties etc. Simply for making it easier to remember what to look for when trying to fill those extra 'variety-boxes' as well. Such images/illustrations offered by catalogs are often poor, but thanks to google and all stamp buddies out there, it is almost always possible to find good images of any variety. When including such illustrations/images, I prefer them in black/white and as light as possible, as already mentioned by angoretheamateurphilatelist - that's a beautiful page you've made, well done!! I think any stamp you will add to that page will look better without all the stamp images in the 'empty' boxes, and at the end of the day it is the actual stamps we want to see (isn't it? )

One page I saw recently has really thick borders for the boxes. Or maybe the box is all inked in. It looked pretty good when using clear mounts, on a white or cream shade of paper. It makes the stamp stand out so much better. Which is why I like coloured paper. Maybe I try that and see how it is.

I saw the dark border idea too but for me I would only be interested if could be done after you add the stamp. I have a lot of pages with plenty of empty boxes so would see a lot of thick rectangles.

Hmm. I'd rather see thick rectangles than a picture of the stamp. They'd eventually be covered with real stamps!

Queen Elizabeth had a few. Her 25th anniversary of ascending to the throne is one, Royal Wedding of Prince Charles & Lady Diana is another. Not that they were all the same like in the era of the King's. Those are two I know off hand. I did collect the 25th year of QEII, but like an idiot, I sold them off. And I did it in the worse way. An auction house in New York State. Why? Good grief. Peanuts for it!
And you know, quite a few years later, I received a letter from a collection agency wanting the money back for some reason. I forget what it said, but I ignored it and never heard from them again. Just thinking of that, it's probably a good reason not to travel to the States!

Those pages look great theamateurphilatelist, I like the layout. In general, I prefer stamp boxes without images. When I do use images, it is often to illustrate an overprint or watermark.
There is the initial "wow" factor when first seeing pages with full-colour images, but afterwards I feel that they distract from the actual stamps especially on a partially filled page. Monochrome images seem far less distracting, however, for coloured images this can be achieved at print time at the user's preference. Either way, I prefer reduced size images. e.g. the second stamp box below. If you are using AlbumEasy this can easily be achieved with one line: e.g ALBUM_STAMP_IMG_SETTING (8.0 8.0 false) which inserts 8mm of blank space between the border and the image of all subsequent stamps.
The dark border can look good, but only once the boxes contain stamps, a page of empty boxes looks very harsh. As a compromise grey, either as a border or background, looks less stark on an empty page, and also complements the stamp nicely. Clive

I eventually went with pages without images. The images were too overwhelming and the pages look neater and cleaner without images. Agree with you blaamand. Here are some pages with stamps and placeholders.

Is there a list? With images, maybe? Help a brother out! LOL Maybe this will help. This is a shared PDF file that I used to create my album pages. Have list of stamps issued in this omnibus that I could identify from various sources. drive.google.com/file/d/1MfBPkoUJBFKlKKWh3YKJK0HWAKvjz5hz/view?usp=sharingDisclaimer: I haven't used any catalogue to create this list. Have searched and scrounged for info around the Internet to arrive at this list. This is the list to the best of my knowledge and take no guarantees of accuracy of the list.
