I have a topical collection going, spotlighting specific engravers. Does anybody know the engraver of the US Architecture series?

There is a note to the effect that it was
Designed by Walter D. Richards and modeled by Frank J. Waslick - if modeled=engraved?
Unless it is hidden somewhere, a thread by engraver would be nice and it would feature some of the great classics.

I don't know what a modeler is. In reference to a different stamp (World Peace Through Law, Scott #1576), I found this decription, "The modeler was Frank J . Waslick and the engravers were Thomas P. Hipschen ( vignette) and Albert Saaverda (lettering)."

The only explanation I have been able to find is in the glossary found on the web site of the United States Stamp Society. Model: the final, approved drawing of a stamp. It can be in the form of a drawing, a sketch, a photograph, a print or engraving, or any combination, or composite, of layers.
I'm guessing this means that the modeler takes the designer's design and the artist's original art and creates a final image of the stamp which is then used to create the printing plates for photogravure or lithographed stamps. But for engraved stamps, you still require an engraver to create a master die for the production plates.
Am I on the right track here?
That does bring me back to my original query. Who engraved the Architecture stamps? The US Stamp Society web site search engine returned zero results for the search term "architecture."

Since it was printed at the US Bureau of Engraving, I would send a request to their Historical Resource Dept which is set up for such inquiries

I found a partial answer: 7 of the 16 stamps in the series were engraved by Kenneth Kipperman.
1979 - He engraved all 4 stamps, Scott 1779-82 1980 - the Smithsonian Institution, Scott #1838 1981 - The Palace of Arts in San Francisco, Scott #1930 1982 - Gropius House, Scott #2021

The US had a series on college and university buildings. There seems to be multiple topics related to buildings.
