Stamp sheet issued by South Africa for the World Cup it hosted in 2010, as a joint issue with other SAPOA member countries: A similar sheet was also issued by Namibia, which I've had for a while, and I had been looking for its South African twin!

An excellent question. I don't know what the rules are. If those are pictures of them while competing at World Cup events, there is probably a global clause for participants as to the use of images taken during the matches. Plus I suppose that these are press pool pictures for which FIFA was paid some fee by the press agencies.

España – Spain, 1980, Campeonato Mundial de Fútbol “España ‘82”The Fifa World Cup finals held in Spain from 13 June until 11 July 1982 were a popular subject for stamp issues. Correos, the Spanish postal authority, issued 10 stamps in the run up to these finals. Correos issued the first two stamps on 23 May 1980. The stamps had face values of 8 and 19 pesetas. The 8-pesetas stamp shows a football game in progress with players from two teams and a referee. The 19-pesetas stamp shows the match ball against corner flags. Campeonato Mundial de Fútbol “España ‘82”Edifil nrs.: 2570-2571 Date of issue: 23 May 1980 Stamp size: 40.9 x 28.8 mm. España – Spain, 1982, Finales del Campeonato Mundial de Fútbol “España ‘82”On 13 June 1982, the opening day of the finals, Correos issued two further stamps stamps advertising the 1982 world cup finals. In addition to these stamps with face values of 14 pta and 33 pta, there were two further stamps with face values of 9 pta and 100 pta. The stamps depict the tournament final against the background of the official tournament football: greeting, duel, scoring a goal, and the tournament winners receiving the FIFA World Cup Trophy. The four stamps were issued in two souvenir sheets that contained the two additional values (9 pta and 100 pta). Each souvenir sheet showed the arms of towns and cities that hosted the matches of the finals. There were 17 venues in 14 towns. Madrid, Barcelona and Sévilla each had two venues. Barcelona, A Coruña, Madrid, Alacant, Gijón, Bilbo, Elx: Edifil nr. 2664Vigo, Valencia, Zaragoza, Oviedo, Valladolid, Málaga, Sévilla: Edifil nr. 2665Issue: Copa Mundial de Fútbol “España ‘82” Edifil nrs.: 2661-2662 (14 pta and 33 pta), 2664-2665 (souvenir sheets)* Date of issue: 13 June 1982 Stamp size: 28.8 mm. x 40.9 mm. Sheet size: 163.6 x 105.6 mm. Perforation gauge: 13¼ Printing process: photogravure Printer: F.N.M.T. Numbers printed: 5,000,000 (14 pta and 33 pta), and 10,000,000 (souvenir sheets) of which 6,294,213 were sold * The 9 pta and 100 pta stamps were issued as part of the souvenir sheets, their Edifil catalogue numbers are SH 2664A (2660) and SH 2664B (2663), respectively. The details are the same as for the other stamps. We used to spend one or two long holidays in Spain each year. I especially remember the mascot "Naranjito” (Orangy) – oranges being grown in many of the areas where the venues were - that popped up everywhere.
