Would anyone familiar with Scott Russia please help me find a Scott number. The dark green on the left is Scott #735 but I just cannot find the one on the right (light green? green? olive green?) shown anywhere in Scott. Any help appreciated in advance.
To get into these you need Russian Specialized catalogs as Scott is somewhat inaccurate with Russian stamps.
There appears to be 2 main printings
1939 in 11.75:12.25 and a rarer 12.25. Some catalogs mention 2 paper types, one being a greyish cream. The issue is referred to as being "Dark Green"
1947 in 12:12.5 and a rarer 12.5. Here 2 colors come up, "Grey Green" and "Yellow Green"
Note that even some Russian catalogs differ in the perf sizes
Scott mentions later reprints but 4 of the key Russian catalogs make no mention of a 1954 reprint in the 15k value. The Scott Russia Specialized indicates a similar stamp of different value issued in 1959
Although a little hard to tell, your images appear to have differences in the star shape and shading and the one on the left appears to have an odd 3rd C in CCCP and a different size opening in the "O" and"P"
Thank you all! NOTE TO STEVE: There is a remark in Scott that some of these stamps (in the initial issue) were later reissued (around 1954) half a milli smaller. I thought that perhaps the lighter green was one of these reissues but could not find any reference to the reissues in Scott between '54 and '56. Maybe, after all, it is just a colour shade of the initial issue. Once again, thank you.

Moderator Note: I combined the recent post by Seba (sebastian ), along with the responses into this previous thread asking for help in identifying an item from Russia. By making this new post, I am bumping the combined thread back to the top of the recently active ones so that it will be clearer what happened to the original post/thread.
