What I collect: I collect to much, world wide!

On an auction in my local stamp club (Bergens Filatelistklubb) I bought two cigar boxes with stamps. In one there was a accumulation of stamps from all over the places, in very various conditions. I did't pay more than ca $6 for the two. When I got home my thought was; why did you bay this, it's only old defect and very common stamps here, waste of money. But some days later I came up with an idea. I challenge myself to really see what it contained. And sort them. First step was to “clean” them from old hinges and paperbits. It went in three turns. There was some unused stamps, but most of them had glued together with other stamps so I decided to wash them all. Then the sorting started. And I started to learn small things about stamps I thought I knew, but there was more to learn. More of that later. I now give myself a new challenge. I have not been as active as I hoped for here at TSF so I challenge myself to do several posts in this tread, describing a stamp or stamps that was in the cigar box. (The other box will maybe get a own tread, have not looked trough it properly yet)

Statistic
In the box there was 465 different stamps from 51 countries. The following countries was present with the number of different stamps;
United states of America (51) German realm (45) Denmark (36) France (35) Norway (33) Belgium (29) Sweden (27) Austria (24) Netherlands (16) Italy (15) United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland (14) Germany, Allied Occupation 1945-1949 (13) Hungary (13) Canada (11) Finland (9) Spain (7) Switzerland (7) Australia (6) Czechoslovakia (6) Germany, Federal Republic (6) Argentina (5) India (5) Bolivia (4) Japan (4) Singapore (4) Brazil (3) Poland (3) South Africa (3) Spanish Morocco (3) Algeria (2) Federal Malay states (2) Morocco (2) Soviet Union USSR (2) Tunisia (2) Yugoslavia (2) Berlin (1) Bulgaria (1) Cameroon (1) Cayman Islands (1) Ceylon (1) China (1) Ecuador (1) Egypt (1) West Africa (1) Norddeutscher Postbezirk (1) Greece (1) Ireland (1) Madagascar (1) Portugal (1) Romania (1) Togo (1)
But the total number of stamps, with duplicates was 855. I guess I maybe throw away 2-300 stamps that was defect.
There where 8 perfins, I will try to identify them in a later post.

Then I start presenting the first country, United States of America, represented by Benjamin Franklin. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), leading author and politician I don't collect US stamps (yet) mostly because of the overwhelming amount of “wave” canceled stamps. But this stamp of Benjamin Franklin has a really good round postmark placed in the corner. So maybe I get tempted to start collect US? I have several laying around, not organized. But back to the Benjamin stamp. The picture is a bit to far to right, nearly touching bottom of the perforation. It also missing a perf on bottom left. So it's not a perfect stamp, but I would not think twice to incorporate it in my US collection. What more do I know about the stamp? It is issued 1927-06-10. I do not own a Scott catalogue, but is it 632? Michel 260F, Stanley Gibbons 632! Perforation is line 11 x 10½ with no watermark. Then, what about Benjamin Franklin? I know he was an American president, but there it stops. I go to Wikipedia..... Wow, what a CV! What catch me was that he was the first Postmaster General of United States!
