Just a quick post card from (somewhere?) Italy to Geneva in 1921. Nice to send best wishes, but 20 ct postage due? If Madame Douze didn't love the sender, Mme. Boubia, she might have been ready to break her on the wheel. The 321 also in blue crayon is a total mystery.

Just USD 4 on Ebay. The cancelled pair of William Tell Boys caught my attention; Carouge was incorporated into Geneva at some point.
I was planning to soak them off, but it's such a nice New Year's card. No wonder Miss Nelly Corthay kept it all those years. I don't know what to do.

Postcard Bavaria 1909 The stamp is damaged and very common, but the handwriting crosswise is nice. Unfortunately it is Sütterlin and I'am not able to read, but in a German stamp forum they were able to decipher the text. By the way, the linden tree was cut down in 2016. Cara

Indian Postal Card This is an example of Palakkad Ayyar Mail. The reverse side is upside down. The postal card was sent from Kalppatti (10.7916°N 76.6514°E), now in Palakkad district of Keralam state, which was one of the earliest settlements (called Agraharam/ Chaturvedimangalam) of Tamizh Smarta Brahman settlers who were later collectively came to be known as Palakkad Ayyars as most of the Agraharams were established along the both banks of River Nila in Palakkad. Though the language of Palakkad was/is Malayalam, Palakkad Ayyar[/i]s communicated among themselves in their mother tongue Tamizh. The card thus written in Tamizh. The card was addressed to Pollachchi (10.6609°N 77.0048°E), now in Koyambuttur district of Tamizhnadu stste, where the main language was/is Tamizh. It may be mentioned that Kalppatti is famous for its annual 10-day long Kalppatti Rathotsavam or Kalppatti Chariot Festival, associated with the temple Vishvanathasvami Kshetram, Kalppatti.
