Hello to everyone. I first started collecting stamps back in 1957,and have never really lost interest in the hobby.I started out collecting world wide issues, and as the years progressed, became interested in GB stamps, especialy first day covers.I am originally from England but lived in USA for over 25 years, and then in 2012 moved to Ecuador. I gave up collecting GB stamps and now I concentrate on France and French Colonies, particularly the omnibus issues of the 1930,s and 1940,s. I also have an interest in French cinderella stamps.I like the Delandre issues .Finally,I also collect incendio and escolares issues from Ecuador. I am retired now so have a lot of free time to spend on organizing my collections. My wife helps me by designing my album pages. I am more than willing to post images of my stamps and answer any questions,Hopefully,I can meet collectors with the same interests. Am looking forward to being a part of this forum. Many thanks Bob

Hi Bob, and welcome to the forum. I'm also an ex-pat, but of a different variety: a South African living in the USA.
Anyway, it's good to have you here.

Hi anglobob, Glad you could make it. You'll find lots of France, French Colonies and Cinderellas here. I'll start posting more of mine including some of the Delandre ! Let's see some of your collection too !! (Bob and I met at London 2010-A Festival of Stamps, and he showed me a small part of his French Collection during a rest break. It was the same day my soccer team Chelsea won the English Premier League by beating Wigan 8-0 !! I watched the news on a TV as we were leaving the BDC !! Great memories) Now you have to show us some of your collection !! If you check the threads you will see that at least one of our members has been posting some very nice French Colonies which I am sure will be of interest to you. Londonbus1.....Still a Bus but no longer collecting GB !!

Hi anglobob to the forum. Where in Ecuador do you live? My sister-in-law lives in Quito near Pinchincha. I also collect Ecuador as well as Colombia and Venezuela. Colombia is my main interest as my wife is Colombian. It will be interesting to see the escolares stamps. I have a small collection of the incendio issues. Jerry B
