Have any of you ever submitted an idea for a stamp to the Citizen’s Stamp Advisory Committee or the appropriate organization in your country? If so, what was your idea? Do you have any ideas that you are considering submitting?

This Canada Scouting stamp is Sc/Unitrade # 993, dated 1983, issued July 6. Printed by Ashton-Potter Ltd - Tagged GT2. It is based on a drawing by a local Scout for a Nation-wide Poster Contest (as part of the 75th anniversary of Scouting in Canada)and submitted to Canada Post and chosen. My late father, philatelist, Editor/Owner of his Newspaper did the necessary contacts at the time for Marc Fournier, 12 years old, of Edmundston, New Brunswick (my home town)

No, but I designed over 200 personalized stamps in 4 countries, so far. Then I bought more than 60 of those stamp designs, in at least 1 sheet of 20 stamps, each. Look at my avatar.

From time to time I think of submitting a suggestion that Jerry Garcia (lead guitarist and one of the founding members of the Grateful Dead) be on a stamp. After all, Janis Joplin was recently on a stamp, and Jerry was just as much a cultural icon.
