I did find this today. Balloon post sent from Arnoldstein to Holbæk, Denmark. There is no arrival postmark so I wonder: Was this just a one "thing" happening or was it a regular Balloon post route? I guess that it also only were inside Austria. A google search returned a lot of pictures, so I guess this was some kind of regular route? In scan 2 there is some information on german on the backside/innside of the envelope.

The Ballonpost in Austria was a charity event. Many, many such flights were done over decades. One bought the envelopes from the charity,in this case for Schilling 4.-.I just guess this included the inland-letter rate of 60 g (Groschen). For foreign use additional postage,in this case 40 g,was needed,to pay for the printed-matter rate.So this letter was overfranked by 20 g.
The flight started in Villach in Karinthia and ended in Arnoldstein, just about 10 km from Villach (!). I guess they needed to land there,as Arnoldstein is very close to the borders of Jugoslavia and Italy, two countries, where you would not like to land at any costs,in those times.
In Arnoldstein the envelopes were cancelled again and were put into the normal postal delivery-system.
